This 8 week series combines the evidence-based mindfulness practices with gentle movement and meditation. Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention in the present moment with compassion. This series will help participants learn how to respond to life in skillful ways and has been shown to reduce anxiety, stress, depression and rumination. These classes are educational, experiential and teach valuable skills but they are not psychotherapy.
The movement portion of the class will include exploration of felt sensation through gentle movement (participants will need to be able to get up and down off the floor easily) and breath practices. If you have any questions about whether this series would be a good fit for you, please feel free to send an inquiry.
In order to avoid any conflict of interest or dual relationships I will be unable to register current or previous therapy clients in these small groups. Thank you for your understanding.
